The NORTHON elastic joint of the REVOLUTION series is made up of four components: Aluminum hubs, Aluminum sleeve, Rubber elastic elements, Seeger rings.
It has been designed to facilitate and speed up maintenance of the same, without removing, dismantling and misaligning the components (engine-machine) with the use of a simple wrench.
Use and Assembly
The REVOLUTION universal joint is able to absorb torsional shocks, vibrations and compensate for angular and parallel misalignments that occur in the connection of the rotating shafts of two machine components. Designed for small dimensions and to transmit high torques. Assembly occurs in the following ways:
- Fit the two hubs onto the shafts,
- Bring the component shafts together in the final position with the sleeve placed on one of the two hubs- Align the shafts to be connected with the appropriate tools, taking the tolerated external diameters of the two hubs as a reference,
- Bring the sleeve to the center of the two hubs and insert the elastic elements,
- Arrange the flanges on the sleeve with the appropriate screws, securing them with anti-unscrewing washers
Maintenance
Leaving aside the usual standard procedures to follow for assembly, it is important to underline that the REVOLUTION type joint has been designed to simplify and speed up maintenance, which occurs by replacing the elastic elements without having to remove the connected machines.
