PRACARTIS and WORMSENSING have joined forces to offer an innovative and unique solution for monitoring and listening to the real operating condition of machining equipment : ULYSSE. This solution is based on Dragonfly®, a dynamic strain gauge developed by WORMSENSING, designed for machine health monitoring, industrial process quality control, and predictive maintenance.
Unlike conventional technologies based on accelerometers, Dragonfly® directly measures mechanical nano-strains at the core of structures, being 1,000 times more sensitive and accurate than an accelerometer. This approach captures the physical information at the origin of mechanical failures and process drifts.
The Dragonfly® sensor can be integrated into or mounted on numerous industrial components, including spindles, axes, tools, machine frames, gearboxes, motors, structures, and industrial parts. It covers an extremely wide frequency range (<10 Hz and >50 kHz), which has until now been difficult to observe using traditional solutions.
PRACARTIS brings its expertise in exploiting these data by transforming them into customized indicators tailored to each user's specific needs. Analyzed in real time and displayed through a customizable dashboard designed to address each customer's industrial challenges, these data enable process control, wear detection, quality optimization, and extended equipment lifetime.
