Information

Nate robotic actuators are a modular range of three intelligent actuators (NA-11, NA-17, NA-20) designed for the development of robotic solutions such as industrial robotic arms, humanoid robots and research platforms. Each actuator integrates, within a compact and lightweight form factor, the key functions of an industrial robotic axis: high-torque-density brushless motor, near-zero-backlash harmonic drive gearbox, redundant absolute encoders, magnetic safety brake, hollow shaft, and embedded electronics with field-oriented control (FOC). The key innovation of Nate actuators lies in their unique performance-to-price ratio, combined with optimized compactness. At equivalent performance levels, they deliver up to 40% lower cost than comparable European solutions and achieve up to 30% weight reduction, enabling more compact and efficient robot designs. This performance is enabled by an industrializable modular architecture, optimized mechatronic design and full control over the design and manufacturing chain. The actuators integrate functional safety features compliant with ISO 13849-1 (SLS – SIL 2, PL d, Cat. 2), simplifying compliance with ISO 10218-1 without complex development on the integrator side. Designed, assembled and tested in France, Nate actuators are a ready-to-use robotic building block, reducing costs, development time and technical risks while ensuring reliability and performance throughout the robot lifecycle.
