First FSoE encoder with cyber security - future-proof and standard-compliant. The requirements for industrial devices and sensors are constantly increasing - not least due to legal requirements such as the Cyber Resilience Act, which demands comprehensive cyber security compliance for all devices by 2027. Standards such as the EU Machinery Regulation and EN 62443 define the security standards that companies must comply with in order to ensure the protection of their systems and data. The FSoE encoder: the basis for future-proof cyber security The FSoE encoder (Safety over EtherCAT) sets new standards with cyber security. It offers basic security mechanisms that guarantee security level 1 protection and enable prevention. The aim is not only to recognize potential risks, but also to actively counteract them - both within the systems and against external attacks. Protection against internal and external threats: • Internal security: In accordance with the "defence in depth" approach, countermeasures to protect against malfunctions, failures and network overloads are considered. • External security: The encoder is resistant to hacker attacks, the interception of sensitive data or targeted manipulation. Ready for 2027 and beyond With its advanced functions, the FSoE encoder is ahead of its time. It is the first in its class to offer the necessary protection to SL1 and ensures that companies not only meet current cyber security requirements, but also those of the future.
