The Schmersal AZM40 from Schmersal adopts the bistable operating principle which maintains its last locked state in the event of a power failure. The guard remains interlocked during dangerous inertial movements. Thanks to the flexibility of inserting the actuator over a continuous 180° range, the AZM40 is ideally suited to small sashes that do not have a perpendicular approach, for example, sashes oriented at 45°. This angular flexibility also makes it easy to install the interlock in tight, hard-to-reach spaces. LOCKOUT DEVICE For large machines and accessible installations, maintenance personnel can attach a padlock to the lockout device when they enter the danger zone.
