With simple operator identification, the Thur Metall cabinet equipped with Gedix Cabinet software identifies the required tools and dispenses the requested quantity using an electronic drawer system. Operator Identification via Badge (barcode or wireless): • Direct access to an item by entering its reference on the keyboard or scanning its barcode. • Multi-criteria item search: by item family, characteristics, storage location, etc. Operations on an Item Reference: • Choose the reason for the operation (“send to machine,” “return from machine,” “send for sharpening,” etc.). • Specify the quantity. • Optional: Enter a note explaining the reason for the operation and/or a work order/operation number (without ERP/MRP integration). • Select the starting location (the software automatically suggests one or more locations based on the requested item, the specified reason, and the desired quantity). • Select the destination location(s) (a machine spindle, another drawer, an external sharpening stock, etc.). • The software sequentially opens the cabinet drawers, allowing the operator to take or deposit the relevant items.
