Optikan develops and markets industrial measurement and control devices using millimeter waves. Our devices are compatible with all non-conductive materials such as polymers, wood, textiles, composites, glass and much more. Thanks to their ability to probe deep into the material, it becomes possible to detect the presence of foreign bodies such as metal particles, undercoating corrosion, wet spots, or lack of material such as delaminations, cracks and porosity within manufactured products. Moreover, with time-of-flight measurement, our devices enable automated thickness control as well as characterization of materials and their possible alterations, such as relative humidity or mechanical strength properties.
Our product range extends from the uSkan in-line scanner-imager, which can be deployed on production lines, to the uSense laboratory station, including the portable uSense LITE version for on-site diagnostics.
