Modicon Edge I/O NTS is Schneider Electric's latest IP20 distributed I/O system, enabling customers to meet the needs of a variety of applications from the simplest to the most demanding. Users such as OEMs, SIs and EndUsers will be able to use it in many industrial segments including Machinery, Packaging, Food & Beverage, Life Sciences, Water & Wastewater, Mining, Minerals & Metals, Critical Infrastructure, Data Centers, Energy & Chemicals, Marine and Rail. Built for the future, Modicon Edge I/O NTS meets customers' current needs for industrial I/O applications while preparing them for tomorrow's challenges with system flexibility and Cyber function integration. Using open Ethernet protocols to provide connectivity to a variety of devices and architectures, it integrates data intelligence into the latest technologies offering better performance, availability and cybersecurity. This range uses OPC UA technology to achieve secure internal communication and interoperability of different Ethernet protocols. With these I/Os, Schneider Electric is laying the foundation for a new generation of connected products based on industrial networks for Industry 4.0 and the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT).
