Leader in the field of flexible component feeding, Asyril develops high-performance systems to singulate bulk parts from 0.1 to 150 mm in size, including complex geometries and delicate materials. But how to meet the needs of larger components? Asyril takes up this challenge with its latest innovation: Merlin Concept, a pioneering bin picking solution designed to optimize the flexible feeding of parts up to 300 mm. Bin picking still faces numerous technological challenges, such as 3D vision recognition, complex robot trajectory management and part gripping. The Merlin Concept addresses these first two challenges with the invention of the patented intelligent bin (application no. EP24173691.7). Equipped with 8 2D cameras providing a peripheral view of the bin's contents, the Merlin Concept accurately identifies the parts to be picked, even during robot movements. Thanks to its liftable base, the complexity of the robot's trajectory is significantly reduced, ensuring a constant cycle time right up to the last part. A modern, easy-to-use interface based on Artificial Intelligence technology, enables the system to learn the 6D orientation of new parts without requiring advanced expertise in industrial vision.
