Mid-range Distance Sensor Dx80

With the Dx80, SICK is going to close one of the existing gaps in the 1D distance sensor portfolio developing a TOF sensor with an outstanding accuracy. Over the years it has been found that by far not all tasks can be solved with the existing sensors in the mid-range area, especially when it comes to accurate, absolute positioning. The Dx80 is a new time-of-flight based distance sensor family within 1D distance and there grouped in the mid-range product area. In the field of precise measuring TOF distance sensors the two variants of Dx80 convinces with unique preciseness (a distance of 40m on white target with an accuracy of ± 2 mm), an impressive on-board (IIOT) connectivity (TCP/IP, Modbus TCP, MQTT and OPC/UA) and a more than balanced price-/performance ratio. The success of all distance sensors is based on the fact, that they find their application in nearly all industry clusters. Nevertheless, the Dx80 is mainly focusing on applications in Automotive, Metal and Steel and Ports.
