Flow drilling serves to produce extrusions in thin-walled metallic materials.
The flow drilling procedure creates a socket in the existing material by reshaping it. This material extension increases the number of supporting threads to threefold to fivefold. The material is not machined but used to create resilient connections.
The advantages of flow drilling are :
Low costs per thread
Highly resilient connections
High-quality threads
No special equipment
Low start-up costs
No external material
Fewer production steps
No chip disposal
FLOTT recommends UNIMEX FORMDRILL flow-drilling and flow-tapping systems for demonstration at the stand. See www.fluopercage.fr
